After a 2024 with <strong>natural disasters<\/strong> intense, this risk remains #3, while <strong>effect of rising geopolitical tensions and the potential for trade wars<\/strong>places them <strong>legislative and regulatory changes<\/strong> #4 in the risk ranking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The biggest jump in the Allianz Risk Barometer's 2025 analysis was recorded by <strong>climate change risk<\/strong>, which climbed from<strong> on place #7 on place #5,<\/strong> reaching the highest position in the 14-year history of the survey.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">What are the risks for our country<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Romania presents a unique risk landscape, <strong>focusing on extreme natural phenomena<\/strong>, cyber incidents and legislative changes, says the Allianz Risk Barometer. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080;\">According to the ranking, these are the most important risks for 2024:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><u>Natural disaster<\/u> (39%):<\/strong> Events such as storms, floods, earthquakes and vegetation fires are the main concern, with a significant increase over the previous year. This emphasises the need for investment in infrastructure and disaster prevention measures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><u>Cyber incidents<\/u> (37%)<\/strong>With a big rise in the rankings, threats such as ransomware attacks and security breaches are now the second biggest risk to businesses. Increasing digitisation brings benefits but also vulnerabilities, requiring advanced security measures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><u>Legislative changes <\/u>(36%):<\/strong> Even if this risk has decreased compared to the previous year, it remains one of the biggest challenges, given the new directives on sustainability and protectionism.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><u>Macroeconomic developments<\/u> (20%)<\/strong>: inflation, monetary policies and austerity programmes continue to affect the economic environment, keeping this risk similar to 2023.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><u>Political risk and violence <\/u>(20%):<\/strong> Political instability and events such as protests and strikes remain constant in business perceptions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><u>Climate change<\/u> (17%)<\/strong>: this risk appears for the first time in the ranking, reflecting concerns about the economic and operational impact of global warming.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><u>Business interruptions and fires\/explosions <\/u>(16% each):<\/strong> Business continuity issues and operational risks remain critical issues, especially in industrial sectors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><u>Critical infrastructure shortages and new technologies <\/u>(15% each)<\/strong>The entry of these risks in the ranking shows how much they influence technological advances and dependence on key infrastructures.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Actions to mitigate risks<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Allianz study emphasises need for <strong>proactive actions:<\/strong> Strengthen resilience through business continuity plans, implementation of cybersecurity measures and adaptation to legislative regulations.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"> Romania, as part of an increasingly interconnected global landscape, needs to strengthen its efforts to mitigate the impact of risks and protect the business environment.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The Allianz Risk Barometer is an annual ranking of the risks faced by companies, produced by Allianz Commercial, the insurer specialising in corporate risks of the Allianz Group, together with other Allianz entities.
