It focuses on technologies and processes that make a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in various industrial sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Objective<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The main aim of the call is to fund innovative projects demonstrating advanced decarbonisation technologies with high potential for emission reduction and replicability in the European Union.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Eligible participants<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">To be eligible, applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Either legal entities (public or private organisations);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Be registered in one of the eligible countries: any country in the world.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Beneficiaries and affiliated entities must be registered in the Register of Participants prior to proposal submission and will need to be validated by the Central Validation Service (REA Validation). For validation, they will be required to upload documents proving their legal status and origin.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Eligible activities<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Projects should focus on the deployment of innovative decarbonisation technologies in sectors such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Low-carbon technologies and processes: activities supporting innovation in low-carbon technologies and processes, including the use of waste heat and improvements in electrification and energy efficiency in industrial processes and energy systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS): activities related to the construction and operation of CO\u2082 capture and geological storage projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Innovative renewable energy and energy storage technologies: projects to build and operate these technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Exclusions: Activities involving:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Innovative components in power\/heat generation, energy storage or hydrogen production\/consumption;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Production of battery cells for use in electric vehicles;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Service-orientated projects (including software) that improve the efficiency of products in Annexes I and III of the EU ETS Directive (except those that directly reduce climate impact in mobility);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Construction or modernisation of ships and aircraft outside the EU\/EEA.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Budget available<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The total budget available for this call is \u20ac1.2 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Duration of projects<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Projects must reach financial closure within four years of the grant signature and operate for at least five years after becoming operational (the minimum GHG emission reduction monitoring period).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Eligible costs<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The maximum grant amount must not exceed 60% of the relevant costs. Only projects with capital expenditure exceeding EUR 100 million are eligible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Eligible capital expenditure:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">construction costs;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">costs for site infrastructure;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">development costs;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">intangible assets;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">contingency reserves.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Submission deadline<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Applications must be submitted by 24 April 2025, 17:00 CEST.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Grant evaluation and award process<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Projects will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">- GHG emission reduction effectiveness<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">- degree of innovation<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">- project maturity<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">- replicability<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">- cost efficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Evaluation steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Eligibility check and initial evaluation of proposals;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Detailed evaluation of selected proposals.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Selected projects will enter grant negotiations, with the signing of agreements expected in the first quarter of 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">For more details, see the official <a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/opportunities\/topic-details\/innovfund-2024-nzt-general-msp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">call for projects<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Informa\u021bii generale Acest apel de proiecte are ca scop sprijinirea ini\u021biativelor inovatoare de decarbonizare la scar\u0103 larg\u0103.
