The General Decarbonisation - Medium-Scale Projects (MSP) component targets medium-sized projects that introduce innovative technologies and processes with significant emission reduction potential.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Eligible project categories<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Projects must aim to decarbonise the sectors specified in the ETS Directive and address activities such as waste heat use, carbon capture and use (CCU), carbon capture and storage (CCS), integration of renewable energy and increased energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Budget allocated<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The total budget for this category is \u20ac200 million, with the possibility to increase up to \u20ac40%, subject to the availability of resources.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Categories of eligible applicants<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>legal entities (public or private) registered in EU Member States, EEA countries (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein) or other eligible countries<\/li>\n<li>consortia: participation in a consortium is not mandatory, but may be relevant to the proposed project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Eligible activities <\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>development and deployment of innovative technologies for decarbonisation<\/li>\n<li>carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects<\/li>\n<li>developing renewable energy and innovative storage solutions<\/li>\n<li>hydrogen-related innovations (production and industrial utilisation).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Ineligible activities<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>use of innovative components, including end equipment, in electricity\/heat generation, energy storage or hydrogen production and consumption<\/li>\n<li>manufacturing battery cells that can be used in electric vehicles (including as part of integrated projects)<\/li>\n<li>service-orientated projects, including software, which primarily aim at improving the efficient use of products listed in Annexes I and III of the EU ETS Directive. This exclusion does not apply to mobility projects where the activity directly reduces climate impact<\/li>\n<li>building or refurbishing ships or aircraft outside the EU\/EEA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Eligible expenditure<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>construction costs, site infrastructure, development, intangible assets and reserves<\/li>\n<li>maximum 60% of the relevant costs may be covered by grants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Project application and selection procedure<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>submission of proposals: exclusively online via the EU funding portal, until the deadline 24 April 2025, 17:00 CET<\/li>\n<li>evaluation stages: admissibility and eligibility, assessment against criteria such as degree of innovation, GHG emission reduction potential, technical and financial maturity, cost-effectiveness and replicability of the project<\/li>\n<li>Projects are evaluated by an independent committee and criteria include:\n<ul>\n<li>degree of innovation (15 points)<\/li>\n<li>reducing GHG emissions (12 points)<\/li>\n<li>project maturity (15 points)<\/li>\n<li>cost-effectiveness and replicability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Duration of projects<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>between 3 and 15 years, with the possibility of extension in justified cases<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Deadline for submitting projects<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>24 April 2025, 17:00 CET.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Call for Proposals documents can be consulted<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/opportunities\/topic-details\/innovfund-2024-nzt-general-msp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Informa\u021bii Generale Programul Fondul de Inovare 2024 Net Zero Technologies \u00ee\u0219i propune s\u0103 finan\u021beze proiecte inovative pentru reducerea emisiilor de gaze cu efect de ser\u0103, sprijinind tranzi\u021bia Europei c\u0103tre o economie neutr\u0103 din punct de vedere climatic p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een 2050.
